　　US - Hog slaughter last week was 2.211 million head, 3.6 per cent lower than the previous week and 2.1 per cent lower than what it was a year ago.The slaughter level was lower than what was implied by the last USDA Hogs and Pigs report but it is too early to conclude that slaughter numbers are starting to deviate from the inventory survey.
